Life is a non-renewable resource. You matter; your choices matter. As a mindset coach, I specialise in life and mindset coaching for people going though (or about to go through) significant life transitions. This includes loss, children leaving home, retirement, break-up or divorce, coming out, changing job or starting your own business.
I firmly believe that you write your own life story. But sometimes it can be hard to work out what you want – who your ‘authentic self’ actually is. It can be challenging to take action alone towards meaningful change, or make sense of the world around us. This is where I can help. For me, the most rewarding part of what I do is seeing someone move to the joy of a flourishing life and mindset.
After 15 years working in London as a Solicitor with leading City and US law firms, I now run a counselling and coaching practice. I am an innovative coach and psychological wellbeing consultant. Since my initial training in executive coaching in 2009, I have used my skills in various settings. I am passionate about people and fascinated by what makes us each tick.
As a qualified Coach (registered with the ICF) and Counsellor (registered with the BACP) with transactional analysis psychotherapy and compassion focussed therapy training, I bring that understanding of human behaviour to my life / mindset coaching work.
My strengths as a mindset coach are energy, empathy, insight and developing transformative relationships with my clients.
I see clients worldwide and face-to-face (in Urmston, M41). I am a qualified, insured coach working with clients to feel more authentically themselves and to flourish in their lives.
If you feel that it’s the right time for you to get some support around a life transition, I would be delighted to hear from you. I pride myself on providing a safe, confidential space and a non-judgemental and empathetic ear.
What mindset coaching clients say about me
“Carina helped me to identify blocks to achieving my goals. She did this astonishingly quickly considering I was under the impression that I already knew myself pretty well”
“Such an enjoyable and uplifting experience; like I’ve had a shot in the arm of courage and self-belief!”
“Wholly positive experience that made me feel energised and positive.”
“You coached me into thinking bigger and believing that I deserved more than my barriers were allowing me to dream of. Your empathic style was so effective in enabling me to consider my barriers and why they were there.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What measures are you taking regarding the COVID-19 pandemic?
For in-person sessions (in M41, including walk-and-talk sessions in Urmston/ Trafford), I have undertaken a risk assessment. If you wish to attend an in-person session, I will send you my COVID agreement in advance.
I appreciate that not everyone is willing or able to attend in-person sessions. I continue to offer online and telephone sessions for anyone who prefers.
Do you have a wait list?
I run a small private practice and I limit the number of clients I see each week. You can find information about my current availability here. I will update that page regularly and you can also get in touch with me to be added to my waiting list.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is no charge for sessions cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice. If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours notice, the full session fee will be charged. The session fee should be paid before the original session time. Where possible, a rescheduled session will be offered at no additional charge. If you are unable to attend in-person, we may be able to change to a Zoom / telephone session.
What do you charge?
I offer two packages (details below). Sessions are 50 minutes.
I ask for payment on or before the session by bank transfer.
Where are you based?
My coaching room is in Urmston, Greater Manchester (M41). The room is 9 minutes walk from Urmston railway station. I offer walk-and-talk as well as sessions by phone or Zoom. Please get in touch for further details.
What’s the different between mindset coaching and counselling?
In truth, sometimes the line can be blurred. Generally, coaching is more about the here-and-now and future – moving you towards the life you want to live. Counselling focusses on the here-and-now, but may also look to how your past influences your present. My coaching training is based on executive coaching models; however, I also draw on existential principles in my coaching work.
